Description: A video review of the 2021 Mercedes-Benz A250e. A plug-in hybrid car from Mercedes also referred to as PHEV for short. PHEV vehichles have an engine, motor, and battery that allow them to be a driven as EVs, hybrids or a petrol car. You can buy a Mercedes A250e for around $65,000, depending on the body style, the sedan is a bit more expensive. This is the current Manufacturer’s Recommended List Price that includes GST, but not on roads or dealer delivery. This latest PHEV from Mercedes offers an all-electric range that is actually usable for most people and their everyday driving needs. This A-Class is powered by a 1.3 L unit with 118 kW and 250 Nm. It is paired with an electric motor that gives 75 kW but awesome 300 Nm of torque. The combined output is not a simple sum of those numbers and it adds up to 160 kW and 450 Nm. The official fuel economy under the ADR combined cycle is 1.6 L per 100 km. The Mercedes-Benz A250e is an awesome entry into the Australian EV market with great benefits of both the ICE and EV worlds.
